“Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster’s works are often marked by biographical and literary allusions, as well as developing narratives, which can slowly be deduced from incomplete set pieces, photographs, specially arranged interiors, and personal details. These function as fragmentary “indices,” researched and displayed by Gonzalez-Foerster. The viewer undertakes a kind of reparage of the individual stories.”
