David Craven

David Craven contributed a text to Kobena Mercer’s Cosmopolitan Modernisms, the first in a series of books in the Annotating Art’s Histories series, Copublished by inIVA and MIT Press, 2005. The text was C.L.R. James as a Critical Theorist of Modernist Art. Craven also contributed a text to another volume in Mercer’s Annotating Art’s Histories series, Discrepant Abstraction, Copublished by inIVA and MIT Press, 2006. The text in question was Abstract Expressionism and Third World Art: A Post-colonial Approach to ‘American’ Art.
