The following biographical sketch appeared in the catalogue Artists of the Western Hemisphere | Art of Haiti and Jamaica, Art Gallery, Center for Inter-American Relations, 600 Park Avenue, New York, N.Y., October 10 - 27, 1968

“He is a self-taught artist who started a commercial career late in 1965. he had works shown in the All-Island Art Exhibition, Institute of Jamaica, in 1967, and from the Exhibition his painting “The Creative Beast” was selected and exhibited in Montreal at Expo ‘67. He has had works shown in several group exhibitins since then. Wilfred started as clerk with a shipping line but now paints full time.”
